The growth of airline traffic worldwide creates new challenges for airports and ground handlers. FDCS

FDCS at a glance FDCS is comprehensive web-based software that covering all aspects of passengers, baggage and aircrafts handling. This system has been designed and developed based on IATA standards like PSCRM and AIRIMP and has four main modules as below: - Data - Supervisory - Check-in and Boarding - Weight and Balance

FDCS also has another plugin that includes kiosk Check-in, Online Check-in and mobile Check-in.

FDCS specifically designed for Airport Authorities and Handling Companies and also is suitable for any airlines and compatible with all aircraft types. This system generates systematic load sheet for pilot. FDCS supports SITA Type B messaging, IRAN Air Homa tex and ARINC Type-B messaging. FDCS can integrate with any airline reservation systems like SITA reservation system, Amadeus, Videcom reservation system (VRS), Sabre, HITIT and etc.

FDCS supports national ID card in Islamic Republic of Iran and other international documents such as passport and by scanning card barcode, Check-in time procedure in FDCS for 100 passengers takes about 20 minutes. It also can integrate with most types of airport printers like Custom, IER, Zebra, Toshiba and etc. The most important feature of FDCS as an Iranian Departure Control System is the domestic data base infrastructure and providing a safe and secure way for transferring passengers and flights data. FDCS supports all IATA standards for boarding passes and bag tags.

FDCS simplifies the entire check-in process without ignoring any of the capabilities agents need. Training typically only is a matter of hours, errors are significantly reduces, and passenger processing becomes faster and more secure. All of this means a more efficient process that allows agents to optimize their time better and more passengers at pre- flight time.

FDCS allows the check-in desk users to select data from any flight that is currently open and is authorized for them. Beforehand, the presentation of aircraft layout including seat classes, aisles, windows, wings and doors is clearly defined for the check-in desk user by supervisor. Aircraft rows and columns are numbered with all occupied and pre-reserved seats clearly marked. The seat map is dynamic, reflecting changes may occur at another check-in and transfer desks. Retrieve passengers FDCS Check-in process is the fastest check-in, compared to the other systems. Different categories of passengers such as accepted and boarded are specified by different colors. The search engine of FDCS can find more than one passengers with diverse last name at a real time. It is possible to retrieve passengers by scanning national ID card or passport. Single page UI All the check-in process handles just by a single page in FDCS without opening new page or refresh. Passengers in FDCS due to the status of passengers determine by different color. All actions was needed to implement passengers are available just by one click. Entry and Change Baggage FDCS provides functionality for entry and change of baggage data by the check-in user. Functionality is provided for registering both baggage carried in the aircraft hold and hand baggage carried onboard by the passengers. Excess Baggage FDCS will calculate the excess baggage charges as defined for the respective airline. If the passenger is accepting the additional charges, an excess baggage coupon is printed on Boarding Pass paper. All Baggage Tags are printed and the check-in is completed at the check-in desk. Security Number FDCS System automatically generates a sequential passenger’s security number for every checked in passenger. The security number is unique for each boarding pass printed and it is printed on the passenger’s boarding card and bag tags for further use during flight processing. History of Passenger Supervisor and check-in counter can check out passenger history and the action performed on him/her. For example, how checked, how much baggage was accepted, change baggage, reprint bag tag and boarding pass, seat change and etc. Printing of Bag Tags and Boarding Pass FDCS only prints bag tags and boarding passes after a complete entry of passenger data and the full registration by the check-in desk user. FDCS will issue baggage tags for each piece of checked baggage and a boarding pass for each passenger.
Passenger Boarding Control FDCS provides a list of passengers checked-in for a particular flight. After the flight is selected, all passenger names are listed on the screen. A passenger can be boarded by either scanning the barcode on the boarding pass, or by entering the Security number on the boarding pass. The gate man can see boarded and not boarded passengers at a single page. Identification of Gate No Shows FDCS provides continuous indication of gate no-shows during boarding, and provides the gate agent with sufficient information to allow paging of particular passenger if so required. For all non-boarded passengers, the FDCS provides the gate agent with the number of checked pieces of baggage for the passenger, the weight of these pieces, the tag numbers and the loading location for off-loading.
The FDCS allows the supervisor to manage flights, for example changing flight status, getting reports about flights and agents. Supervisor can also do pre-flight operations as seat plan alterations, seat blocking, Waitlist passengers’ promotion, requesting PNL/ADL from reservation system planning, etc. Changing Flight Status Flights will appear as “closed” after the PNL is received from the reservation system. The supervisor can set flight parameters like departure time, gate, aircraft type, etc. A flight will appear visible at the check-in desk as soon as the supervisor has set the status to “open for check-in”. After a flight is set as “Departed”, no changes can be made anymore and the Post Flight messages are generated. Assign Flight Supervisor in FDCS can assign flights to agents which should check-in the flight. It is possible to check each agents during check-in process that how many passengers accepted by and how much excess baggage charge is gained from passengers. Manage aircraft Supervisor in FDCS can change seat status and rules for passenger acceptance like two infants in one row or block seat. It is possible to change the aircraft type or registration if it is needed. FDCS handles passenger check-in in the best way. Flight reports In FDCS supervisor can generate any reports is needed such as no-show passengers, denied boarding, manifest, load summery, etc. These reports can be generated during or after flights..
Airlines in order to control and management their flight schedule, fleets, weight allowance rolls, staff priority, set TTY message destination and create reports for review their flights, passengers and staff can use FDCS in the prefect way. Schedule Management FDCS can connect interactive to any reservation systems like SITA, VRS, PARS and another CRS and get the schedule from. It is possible to define schedule in FDCS and update the reservation system. Seating Management Airlines can set fleets seat maps by taking the account the aircraft zone separation to simplify weight and balance management. Airlines can automate seating rules using the option in fleet designer like infant, jump seat, exit door, smoking zone, gender separation, etc. It is possible to block seats for check-in, kiosk check-in and online check-in. Baggage Management Airlines for managing excess baggage amounts for passenger and its diversity in different roots can entry data about the roots and baggage allowance in the FDCS and it automatically manage the excess baggage amounts for passengers. User definition Airlines can define any user and user group and user level for its staff and customize their access level for stations they work. Set TTY messages address Airlines can set teletype address for receiving messages like PFS, ETL, TPM, etc.

Online check-in

By FDCS online check-in, passengers can check-in at home or anywhere else and know they will have the seat that they want. So, Passengers can select their seats, print out their boarding pass and even resend their boarding pass to their mobile device, all before arriving to the airport.

Self-service Check-in Kiosk

Faranegar self-service check-in kiosk has been designed for airlines or airports in order to simplify check-in process for passengers and staff. Two standard check-in procedures which are available for check-in kiosk have been tested for efficiency and security. First, passengers can retrieve by scanning national ID card or passport and second, they should enter ticket number and national ID number.
